Notting Hill Gate Underground Photograph (Public Domain)

Sunday, February 4th, 2007

I travelled today and this is a photograph I took on the tube at Notting Hill Gate.

I place it in the public domain, as far as I am able, and allow any use including commercial.

No need to ask permission to use this photograph if it is of use to you, but if you really, really want to say thank you - why not link to Carbuncle’s blog so others can access the Public Domain pics here?

How to make easy money from a blog

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007

I’ve just been looking around the web for ideas to Sell Ad Space and came across Text Link Ads.

Text Link Ads works by allowing you, as a publisher, to sell space for Text Link Ads on your blog.

This has a value to advertisers because the Text Link Ads create a back link for their website and also will give them some traffic which they can convert into paying customers - a win win situation.

Text Link Ads seems to allow anyone to sign up as a publisher but there is then an approval process for each page of your website that you wish to display the Text Link Ads on.

I’ve just signed up to Text Link Ads and am now in the process of considering which of my pages, on my many websites, that I wish to submit for approval. I must say, that this is a disadvantage to using Text Link Ads because I am used to the easy insertion of Google Adsense code to my sites which allows for the same code to be used on any pages and any sites belonging to me (subject to the Google Adsense terms and conditions, of course).

Will post more, if I make any money from Text Link Ads or even decide to go with them.
