Terms of Use (Photographs)
My intention when publishing my own photographs here at Carbuncle is to make them freely available for any use.
I don’t ask for a link back to Carbuncle’s Blog but for those of you that would like to say thank you for this resource, a link back is a good way to say thanks and also ensures that Carbuncle’s Blog is shared with others, and I always appreciate the compliment.
Terms of Use (Public Domain Photographs)
This is an example of the blurb I use to release the photographs into the public domain… this blurb came from one of the previously published photographs:
I place this Carbuncle’s Blog photograph of the Hanover Street roadsign in London in the public domain, as far as I am able, and allow any use including commercial.
There is no need to ask permission to use this London photograph of a street sign, if it is of use to you, but if you really, really want to say thank you - why not link to Carbuncle’s blog so others can access the public domain photographs here?
You should excercise some caution if you use a photograph containing a recognisable person or a trademark. Although I have placed my interest in the photograph in the public domain, there may still be legal implications for the free use of some public domain photographs.
At the very least I will create a link to this Terms of Use page in future.
Carbuncle’s Public Domain Photographs
Most of the photographs that I publish on Carbuncle’s Blog come from my outings and walks in and around Central London.
I would be glad to take any specific photograph of anything / place in the area - why not leave a comment saying it would be good to see something you want?
No promises, but if I have time……….
